Went to my baby sister's graduation ceremony at the University of Portsmouth. And the sight of the Guildhall was something to behold. So gigantic with good structure. And the environment is beautiful

Annual passing out concert of His Majesty’s Royal Marines School of Music followed by Beating Retreat. Great standard of musicianship and drill. Great afternoon

We recently went for comic con. They usually have good events on and this was no exception. The best toilets are definitely in the basement. They have a few bars, a main stage and various other multipurpose rooms available. It's a beautiful building and an important Portsmouth location. Very accessible.

Portsmouth Guildhall, an imposing and historic building located in the heart of Portsmouth, England, stands as a testament to the city's rich cultural and civic heritage. Completed in 1890, this grand Victorian structure, designed by architect Edward Mountford, features stunning architectural details, including its ornate façade and towering clock tower. The Guildhall serves as a versatile venue, hosting a wide range of events from concerts and theatrical performances to civic ceremonies and community gatherings. Its impressive main hall, with its intricate woodwork and excellent acoustics, is particularly renowned for its role in the city's cultural life. The Portsmouth Guildhall not only represents a key piece of the city's architectural legacy but also continues to be a vibrant center for arts and public events, reflecting Portsmouth's dynamic spirit and community pride.

Great place for concerts, stand up comedy graduation ceremonies and other type of performances. The Lord Mayor offices are here as well as the City Council chamber. The Guildhall hosted the International Comic Con for first time in 2018 and they will do so again in 2019.
