February 2025Staying at Atholl Palace Hotel is like stepping into a fairytale—you get to stay in a gorgeous castle! The rooms are full of character, each unique, with stunning views of the grounds and the Highlands. Plus they were really accommodating for a family of 4 with family rooms that had 4 beds! Unheard of! Parking is plentiful, and while the décor is traditional, that’s exactly what you want when staying in a historic palace. The staff were friendly and efficient, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was solid, and our girls especially loved the pancake and Nutella options—a welcome surprise in Scotland, where breakfasts tend to be more traditional. The pub restaurant was fantastic, and we found ourselves coming back multiple nights to relax, enjoy a couple of pints, and have a great meal. Location-wise, Pitlochry is perfect—central to everything, though keep in mind that places like Loch Ness are a 1-1.5 hour drive. This is ideal for adventurous families and those who enjoy driving Scotland’s roads, which I found very predictable once you get the hang of it. Highly recommend—staying in a castle is an experience not to be missed!

January 2025From checking in until leaving, this was a wonderful long weekend away. The location, food and service from very attentive staff. Nothing too much bother. Only negative was that I found the bed wasn't particularly comfortable. Saying that, everyone's mattress comfort taste differs.

February 2025First time staying here. Beautiful old style hotel. The location and scenery are lovely. Food was delicious and the staff are very nice. Drinks abit expensive! Sit by the log fire, its so cozy.

January 2025There is a long driveway leading up to the hotel & when the hotel comes into view, it really is a spectacular building that just oozes class & style. I was at the hotel for tea & sandwiches following a funeral, so I didn't stay in a room. The decor is typically Scottish with tartan carpets etc & is stunning. The food was delicious & the staff were professional, knowledgeable & very courteous.

February 2025This is our second stay at the Atholl Palace. Entrance and drive up to the hotel is stunning, beautiful well kept grounds, surrounding scenery breathtaking. From the minute we walked into reception, nothing was too much bother for the staff, very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Our room was the Valley room, overlooking the Tummel valley. It was bright, spacious, clean, large bathroom with shower and bath and a very comfortable bed. Meals were delicious with plenty of choice, then sat and had a drink on a comfortable sofa in front of a log fire. The Atholl Palace is the epitome of first class luxury. Thankyou for another wonderful stay.
