I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre for four days with my family, and it was truly an outstanding experience! From the moment we booked our stay, the excellent customer service was evident. Christina, the Commercial Director, went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and our expectations exceeded. Her attention to detail and helpfulness truly set a positive tone for our visit. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff that made us feel right at home. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and wonderfully comfortable, providing a perfect backdrop for our family getaway. One standout during our stay was Kapil from the restaurant, who provided exceptional service. His attentiveness and friendliness made our dining experiences delightful, and he was more than willing to accommodate our requests. Throughout our time at the Courtyard by Marriott Oxford, every member of the staff demonstrated a commitment to excellent service, always ready to assist us with anything we needed. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to help made our stay even more enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was immaculately clean, and being able to check in early was a bonus. The staff were professional, polite, and informative, even the kids were given a colouring book pack each. A special shoutout to Joshua, who was exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was great, with a variety of options, and the staff were well-informed about allergies. The location is fantastic - directly opposite the castle and just a few minutes from the centre. If I had one minor suggestion, it would be a lighter duvet as it was a bit too warm, but that’s a personal preference. Would happily stay here again.

Pretty good. The lack of coffee maker in the room or lobby was the biggest downside by far. They have kettles in the rooms with instant coffee which is not the same thing. The location is really great, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown so it’s quiet but only a few minutes walk from the major sites. The rooftop patio is excellent also. I would stay here again but bring my own coffee making supplies. Also the hotel bar and restaurant didn’t have anyone staffing it when I went down at around 8 pm which seemed odd.

GLASS. BATHROOMS. Honestly, why is this a thing?? This hotel is the worst offender yet. Not only is the door glass, but there’s a half inch gap between the door and the wall - WHICH IS ALSO GLASS. You have a clear view of the toilet when the door is closed. The shower is also glass, and not even frosted. Thus, there is no bathroom privacy at all. You can clearly see the person in the shower from many points in the room. (And in a twin room, not a double!) Absolutely horrible design. If you’re not here with your spouse, you better be VERY good friends with your roommate. Otherwise, the staff are very nice and the location is good. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was worth the price. Had dinner here once, it was kind of like reheated bar food, wouldn’t recommend that. Heard doors slamming all night as the main room doors are also not very sound proof. We won’t be returning.
