February 2025For the 3 days, 2 nights we stayed there, we cannot fault the service and areas we used. Service was great from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed and very hot shower and bath water. Food for breakfasts, dinners and afternoon snacks were delicious.

February 2025This hotel is part of Best Western. It has a fabulous location on Rutland Water. You can choose a courtyard or water view. There is free parking for hotel residents as long as you input car reg. There is a conservatory for afternoon tea, a bar area, and a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The conservatory has water views. The afternoon tea was good value, and we were full afterwards. Our room was a good size with plenty of room for luggage. Staff are helpful and friendly. They do weddings and would be a great location being so close to the partially submerged church at the waters edge. We had stopped using BW hotels many years ago as we had been disappointed with the quality. However, I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. It is clean with good facilities. There is no need to go out to dinner as their restaurant had sufficient choice. I have given 4 stars but really a 4.5. It is also dog friendly.

December 2024I only visited to meet relatives unseen for a decade, a brunch if you like, coffees, teas and hot drinks were excellent and one jacket potato hot meal appeared also to be excellent although it wasn't mine to taste. Strangely, in over 40 years of living and working in the area and at one stage being closely allied to Rutland Water, it's the first time I've visited it. Great location but can't comment on the rooms, my cousin said it was great however.
