Hockwold Hall, Front Meeting Room

We got married at Hockwold Hall in June 2024, and from the moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect place for us! What really stood out was the venue’s flexibility and the exclusive use of its entire grounds and accommodation, without the constraints of corporate rules, as it's a family-run business. When you're spending so much on a wedding, having the freedom to make it exactly how you envision is priceless. To be transparent, you do need to use Shefs for daytime catering, but they are absolutely amazing, and flexible. Whatever you want they can provide! Their food really elevated the whole experience. The day itself was absolutely amazing, and Richard and the team did a fantastic job ensuring everything ran smoothly. The venue’s charm is enhanced by its quirky inhabitants – peacocks, goats, rabbits, and more – which add to its unique appeal. We’d love to see Hockwold Hall expand into promoting more boho-style weddings in the future, with options like tipis and other outdoor elements. The beautiful outdoor space with fragrant herby flowers would be perfect for this, and it would also make for a lovely setting for after-dinner activities, perhaps even in a tipi set up in the camping area. You could arrange this yourself as they're very flexible with vendors, but it's just an idea for the owners! An extra perk is that the celebrations don’t have to stop at midnight. The venue has a lovely cellar that’s perfect for an after-party – think Harry Potter-style, a magical, intimate vibe. It was the ideal place to keep the celebrations going. The added bonus of having Hockwold Inn right next door was ideal. We stayed the night before, making it a two-night wedding celebration, which was the perfect way to extend the experience.
