Canto is a modern, relaxed venue in the heart of bustling Ancoats, serving fast-paced, casual, Mediterranean inspired tapas from our open kitchen. Our small plates are designed for sharing and savouring and are paired perfectly with a varied list of speciality cocktails, beers and a carefully curated list of wines. Situated on the corner of Cutting Room Square, Canto boasts a light and airy interior, combining industrial touches with Portuguese style, alongside a generous outdoor seating area.
With a standing and seated capacity for a maximum of 105 guests, Canto can accommodate both formal seated events and more relaxed canapé style service. We offer a mixture of high bar style seating as well as comfortable booths and low seating for either partial or full hire of the venue.

December 2024They had a cancellation so we got lucky but it was full. Had cocktails at the bar first and they were amazing. Food was delicious lots of new flavours ideal for sharing, really great atmosphere and great service.

November 2024Highly recommend Prego! The beef steak in a rustic roll with caramelised onions and rocket, along with their tiramisu, is an absolute delight! The steak is incredibly tender and juicy—definitely beyond my expectations! The crusty roll pairs perfectly with the steak for a fantastic bite. As for the tiramisu, it’s not overly sweet, which I loved. The ladyfinger biscuits are thoroughly soaked in aromatic coffee syrup, making it incredibly satisfying. The balance of sweetness with the spiced wine and coffee syrup is just divine! It might just be one of the best tiramisus I’ve had in Manchester—definitely a must-try!
