A doubled-head tribute to two of the locale’s most famous sons, The Owl & Hitchhiker takes Edward Lear and Douglas Adams’ alternative world views of science and nonsense and slams them together through an infinite improbability drive. The result is a lively London boozer where you can ponder the meaning of life, the universe and everything.

Do you want to have your party at the Owl & Hitchhiker? We can literally make that happen. In addition to the enviable facilities on our ground floor, we also have a private space upstairs. Seating a comfortable 35 and 60+ standing, it’s ideal for revelry and celebration.
Our space is best suited to laid back and more casual events, especially buffets, parties and get-togethers!

Perfect afternoon walk and a couple of decent country ales. It’s been several years but a welcoming revisit to this historic pub. The landlord has clearly made some changes in recent years which are very positive 👏
