June 2024I had such a good time at the party and paint event I attended at eight embankment a few weeks ago. The staff at the venue are lovely and bartenders make a wicked martini but have lots of other drinks if that’s not your vibe. The venue was perfect and we had plenty of room to dance whilst we painted. I would highly recommend was one of my best nights out. Looking forward to returning for a brunch over the summer for a mates birthday.

November 2024Soul Supper Soul Supper A group of 5 of us went to this event on the 10/11/24. Sadly we were very disappointed with the whole experience. We were made to wait outside in the cold and the rain for more than 10 mins after the doors had opened, the menu said we would have starter and main, although I do know it said each venue may be subject to a menu change, we were brought up our mains to which I questioned where our starters were to just be given a shrug of the shoulders from the waiter who then just walked off. The food was very cold and the portion was tiny, more like a starter size. The staff then proceeded to walk around with cake boxes just plonking cup cakes in front of people while they were still eating their mains. By the time they got to our table I think they'd run out of cup cakes so gave us the tiniest portion of chocolate fudge cake, it was again plonked down in front of me on a plate but with no cutlery. I asked if I was meant to eat it with my hands, the waitress rolled her eyes at me and said she'd get me a fork. I waited almost 15 mins for her to return, I had one small piece of cake but it was so dry and tasted stale. I spoke to the waiter to tell him and he said yeah it's frozen! The entertainment was mediocre, the girl singers mic was so quiet you could hardly hear her, they only sang 5 songs then went off, the music that was played subsequently was not soul music. The prices of drinks were extortionate, £48 for a very substandard bottle of prosecco! The whole event was a total waste of money. I feel if you're going to put on these events you need to be honest about the whole experience and lower your prices. I for one would never attend one again and do most definitely not recommend that anyone else attends them either! If I could give minus stars I would!!
