On Monday morning, my family member from Birmingham sent my laptop worth over £1000 through Royal Mail and paid £18,55 for next day delivery. It was assured that the parcel would be delivered at my address in London, by Tuesday 12pm. When using the tracking number was shown that was out for delivery and the time would be between 11am and 4pm. At 4:01 I checked again and was saying that there was an attempt to deliver but that no one was home. That is a complete lie. I stayed home all day because I was waiting for the laptop which I need for work. So when I read that was attempted, I felt really disrespected and deceived because it is a lie! It then said that would be delivered Wednesday by 1pm. Had to cancel again all my morning schedules and did not come again!!! It was almost 6pm when it arrived and when I opened the box, the case was broken!! As soon as I saw it, I was scared that was the actual laptop but thank god was only the case. Despite the fact that was very well packed to be sent, and well protected, you still have no responsibility or care for people’s belongings! It is a real disappointment to use Royal Mail services and be treated like this! I will not be using Royal Mail services never again. It is a joke that we have to pay for next delivery and there is no effort from your side to actually meet those, or at least inform and have respect for people’s parcels!! Please, be real and honest when giving a day and a time as people actually have to cancel appointments to just sit and wait and at the end be lied to. And the minimum you could do is to return the money from the next day delivery as it is just a way to steal because it’s not actually delivered. The parcel was delivered by Whitechapel DO. Zero starts!
