The Vesta Tilley Room is the ideal semi private area for groups of 30 - 55, with a versatile layout, ready to be designed to fit your needs.
While our downstairs bar is a more casual affair, with the Hawksmoor touch – we can offer dining for 20-30 guests or cocktail and canape receptions for up to 70 guests.

Tucked beneath our Spitalfields restaurant, the bar champions all things Hawksmoor – exceptional cocktails, delicious food, welcoming hospitality, and a beautifully distinctive interior – creating an atmospheric space perfect for unforgettable private gatherings. The legendary basement bar features vintage brass and mirrored wall panelling, a striking copper-topped bar, and deep leather booths nestled within the underground arches.
Spitalfields Bar is available for exclusive hire – ideal for private functions, corporate events, Christmas parties, or for marking those special milestones in style.
There's room for 20–30 guests seated or 30–70 standing, with availability Monday to Saturday, day and evening. Our legendary basement bar features its own dedicated entrance and a private bar, with capacity for DJs and live music.
Our menus are designed with groups in mind, featuring Hawksmoor’s signature dry-aged steaks, sustainable British seafood, and carefully sourced seasonal ingredients. Choose from canapés, bowl food, or large sharing cuts – all complemented by our award-winning cocktails. Our wine team is also on hand to help you select the perfect pairings for your event.

March 2025Went to try the Big Matt (top quality version of the famous McDonald's big mac) and it did not disappoint! The two patties were perfectly cooked, the buns were perfectly golden and the beef dripping fries that came with the burger were excellent. I highly recommend! (This burger is on the lunch special menu, not served on Sundays)

Whether you prefer it rare or well done (though I highly recommend going for medium-rare), each bite is bursting with flavour and juicy goodness. They take pride in sourcing top-quality ingredients, and it really shows in their signature dish. You won’t be disappointed! One of the highlights of my visit was the service. The staff at Hawksmoor are not only professional but also genuinely friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is top-notch. From recommending the perfect sides (don’t skip the sticky puddingas dessert) to offering the ideal wine pairing, they’re there to make sure your meal is memorable. Overall, Hawksmoor in Spitalfields offers a delightful blend of excellent food, a fantastic atmosphere, and an attentive service that keeps you coming back for more. April 2025Came for Sunday Roast and had a nice experience. Staff were friendly and helpful as we found the menu quite confusing (items and prices on the menu and the black specials board). We opted for the shared option which was good value as you can select your own cuts. Meats were cooked well, roast potatoes were perfection but the Yorkshire pudding was a big let down being very dry and slightly on the burnt side. Overall, prices are definitely on the more expensive side as it is a nice environment for friends or a celebration
