Two spacious floors of a former Victorian warehouse on Leonard Street have been kitted out for daytime eating, drinking, thinking & meeting. The interior blends the raw, pared-down character of the factory building with layers of bespoke furniture, mosaics and graphic lighting features, as well as the constantly evolving exhibitions that adorn the walls. Its open, airy, drowning in natural light and the perfect environment for meetings, lunches, an afternoon cocktail or a quick game of ping pong!
At night, The Book Club offers a cultural revolution to the East End’s social scene turning the conventional arts institution on its head, fusing boozing with brain power every night of the week through our thought provoking program of Superculture events. At the weekend we step it up a notch with clubs nights from local and national promoters featuring DJs such as Scroobius Pip, Roots Manuva, DJ EZ, Craig Charles and Norman Jay.
The ground floor is an airy, open-plan Victorian warehouse conversion with a dedicated ping pong room and plenty of space for 200 to eat, drink and socialise. By day, the space serves as a home-from-home for local creatives often tapping away at their laptops with freshly ground Volcano coffee flowing from the highly trained Baristas.
By night, Our resident DJs will keep you partying till late whilst you eat, drink & ping pong your way into the wee hours.

January – November Bookings If a booking is cancelled (by registered post or email only) • 2 months in advance of the Access Time, we will refund 90% of the deposit. • More than 1 month in advance of the Access Time, but less than 2 months, any deposit paid will not be refunded. • Less than 1 month in advance up until the Access Time, any deposit paid will not be refunded and we will issue an invoice for immediate payment of the contracted balance. February 2025I was there a few months back. The security were not professional. They were rather rude and disrespectful. The short one with cornrows should not even have a security badge. The staff service was not the best and the atmosphere was 3/10. If I were you I wouldn’t waste money there. You get better service and vibe round the corner from Simmons.
