We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Gatehouse. Our server, Gary, was fantastic, polite, funny, attentive, and even helped us pick the best table (and saved me from a run-in with some wasps!). He struck the perfect balance between engaging conversation and giving us space to enjoy our meal. We were delighted to learn that our chef for the evening was Sam, who prepared our Chateaubriand to absolute perfection. Both of us have slightly different preferences for how our meat is cooked, and choosing medium (at recommendation from Gary) was ideal—one of us enjoyed the rarer cuts while the other preferred the more medium edges. It couldn’t have worked out better, and we left extremely happy with the whole experience
