Magazine London is a new event space for the capital. The venue boasts 3,205 sq m of versatile interior space for up to 3,000 people and can extend to accommodate a further 7,000 people across the venue’s extensive outdoor showground. The site itself is quite unique, providing phenomenal views of the River Thames and Canary Wharf skyline; it’s only a 3-minute walk from North Greenwich station.
Both Mezzanines in the venue are accessible via two black steel staircases in Space 1 and can be utilised as VIP areas or as overflow for higher guest numbers; they can also operate as break-out, seminar and exhibition space.
Mezzanine 2 overlooks both spaces and provides access to The Balcony, an intimate area featuring stained timber decking and black steel railings. The Balcony serves as an impeccable viewing platform for the River Thames and Canary Wharf skyline.

March 2025Not designed as a concert venue — that flat floor is a buzz killer…couldn’t see anything for a large portion of the performance. I’d actively avoid gigs at this place unless you’re in the first few rows…

March 2025Went to FKA Twigs London Concert today. Venue was nice, audio good and lighting amazing. Major problems with venue location and flooring. The venue has a flat floor, meaning most of the time, no-one apart from the first few rows can see what’s going on. Weird queuing systems. Also hard to locate coming out of North Greenwich station. DON’T BOTHER WITH CONCERTS AT THIS VENUE, if you do, make sure you’re at the front! If you are under say 5”11, you are not going to be able to see anything happening on stage.

March 2025Saw fka twigs here last night and was so so so let down by the venue (despite twigs’ incredible performance). You cannot see a thing on stage due to its height and the flatness of the space; even right at the front of the venue. The venue also massively overestimated their capacity. We were packed in like sardines from wall to wall and two people in my group almost passed out from the heat and the complete lack of space. The toilets are also portaloos outside which is fine except they were not lit at all and so you couldn’t see a thing. At the end of her set, she sang Cellophane which is a song that is known to require absolute silence yet the venue site staff had their cans on loud and were moving set pieces and equipment during her encore which completely stole focus and ruined the moment. Really really disappointing that the venue let down what should have been the gig of a life time.

March 2025attended fka twigs concert 21.3, amazing show with notably great sound system but awful venue otherwise 1. toilets the only toilets available for half the concert were portapotties outside with no way to flush or wash your hands. how am i paying £40 for a ticket at a glossy venue to then have to queue outside in the rain to wee? they later opened indoor toilets but by then i’d had enough and resigned myself to just relieving myself at home if i needed to 2. visibility this might be a good venue for hosting some events but absolutely not concerts. i joined my friend who arrived an hour early to queue and we had great visibility only being about four rows back from the front. but there’s absolutely no chance of seeing a thing if you’re more than ten rows back. the entire venue is flat and the stage is low. i implore you not to come to this venue for a concert unless you have the time to queue very early beforehand/are in the VIP balcony/are 6’6. 3. getting out i got the feeling the staff (who were all kind and polite) were trying their best to manage the crowd but getting out was awful. it took me an additional 40 minutes after the concert ended to get to north greenwich tube station (perhaps a 6 minute walk away) due to all the queuing. i’ve provided a photo i took of the crowd all trying to exit. i’ve been to a lot of concerts at much bigger venues and they were able to get us out in half the time — this place just isn’t suited to concerts. also can’t speak to it myself because i didn’t buy any drinks but i heard people around me complaining about drinks prices, i think £15 for a double? nightmarish but to be fair that’s london these days for you, issue isn’t unique to this venue.
