About Venue
Launched in June 2014, Roof East is an urban park, rooftop bar and an open-air cinema, situated directly opposite Stratford Station and Westfield shopping centre.
Managed by Urban Space Management, this 8th floor rooftop space generated immediate interest from the day it opened its doors to the public. Formerly an empty car park, USM joined forces with Groundwork London to transform the space into a multifunctional park, including setting up a bar and a large open plan seating area to complement spectacular views over the Queen’s Elizabeth Olympic Park. The rooftop also features an open-air cinema, proving remarkably popular amongst film lovers from around London.
All planters were built so that they can be moved around to give different layouts to the space. In a nod to the former car park use we even have three cars filled with earth and plants. Now trees grow up through their roofs (well, two are convertibles!). When it gets darker the space is once again transformed by a changing colour light display.

An amazing experience. I came for the first time with my community on Saturday and was blown away. Beautiful venue. Amazing service from the staff. Shout out to the security team for their kindness. The hospitality staff were equally lovely. 100% would come back. Fully recommend this spot 💜

Great hidden gem in Stratford Westfield ✨ Little known place, with lots of fun activities for you and your friends. The night we visited, the place was not busy at all so we had the place to ourselves. Really recommend the Archery and Mini Golf. The staff were super nice and helpful. 10/10 recommended, would visit again.

I enjoyed the halloumi fries and cocktails, though drinks lean on the pricier side (£10-12.50). The staff were friendly and the place felt lively and fun, perfect for a chill evening after shopping at Westfield Stratford. Just note it can get windy, so bring a jacket! Access is easy from Stratford station, with lifts to the 8th floor of the car park. It's a cool spot for socializing with great views over East London

I had a good time here a while ago as it’s a fun and vibrant spot with great views, lively vibes, and plenty of activities. Good place to unwind and enjoy the city atmosphere. Dunno why its currently closed, but I hope its for some magical refurbishments.
