December 2024Came here on Sunday for the roast as we'd been told it was good. It was! Had the smoked turkey and it was fantastic, definitely up there as one of the best roasts I've had in London. Service was also great. Only disappointment was that they'd run out of the veggie option and it was only 2pm.

January 2025The place looks run-down, but it contributes to the vintage vibes—a lovely, spacious venue. We celebrated a friend's birthday in one of the rooms on the first floor. We had a bar up there with bottled beers and spirits (draughts and more options available at the bar downstairs). We had loads of fun and a lot to drink, and, to my surprise, the food was incredibly good! While my friends got burgers, I got the loaded beef brisket fries, which were divine! I definitely recommend it and don't miss the chance to taste the pub’s kitchen. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms fairly clean.

February 2025Great Sunday lunch here in January. Perfectly cooked beef, really crispy potatoes and delicious veg. Plenty of gravy and a gigantic Yorkshire pudding. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back. Would have been nice to see a slightly more interesting selection of beer and wine but other than that it was perfect. Roast beef around £21 plus drinks and extras. Worth contacting directly for info on wheelchair accessibility which may well be possible and tables well spaced. Calm buzzy atmosphere.

January 2025I would rate this somewhere between 3.5-4 out of 5. Nice pub with good service and atmosphere. Came for the Sunday roast after seeing it top the latest Timeout hit list. Average - good roast, would recommend if I was in the area but definitely wouldn’t travel for. Wouldn’t recommend the cauliflower cheese. Good selection of meats, tried both the brisket and the beef.

February 2025Never really relied on timeout recently and this is why! The roast was good but definitely not the best in London! The veg was yummy, potato’s good, Yorkshire’s yummy but overall disappointing that it came out cold. We had the duck and beef brisket, nice meat. Will go back again but not in a super rush! Service was good.
