Fortnum & Mason Private Dining, The Boardroom

Grocer to the Queen and most of her predecessors since 1707, this venerable institution has five private dining spaces. On the fourth floor, the Drawing Room is a light, airy space for up to 80, while the Tasting Room lends itself to lunches, dinners and afternoon teas. At lower-ground level, medieval stoneware and decorative panelling create an intimate atmosphere in the Crypt, which suits wine tastings and dinners. The Boardroom – the venue of choice for Fortnum’s own directors for more than a century – is a secluded space for meetings. The Gallery restaurant seats 100 and can be hired exclusively for private events.

The Boardroom may imply business but it’s the setting for many a pleasurable occasion.

With previous guests including Winston Churchill, meticulously restored antique furniture and an exceptional art collection that reflects Fortnum’s illustrious history, it’s a splendid venue for dining and entertaining. The Boardroom is also available to host a small and intimate wedding ceremony.
