Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We had the Junior Terrace Suite which gave us our own patio and outdoor tub which overlook St Pancras Station. VERY romantic. The room was lovely, the window opens over the tub allowing lovely airflow. You can get anywhere from the train station or the tour bus tours have a stop directly across from the hotel. Plenty of walkable food, coffee, juices, pubs, coal yard etc. We used Big Bus tours and had a great time doing the hop on hop off thing. The rooftop bar is amazing, interior design is gorgeous. The restraunts and seatings areas are impeccable. Cannot recommend enough.

I'm reviewing this place as an event venue! Came here for the Horsegiirl event and couldn't have been happier! All the staff were super organized and all aspects of the night were covered. Bartenders were nice, staff monitoring bathrooms, coatcheck, and the balcony were amazing. The event venue was AMAZING! Top floor panoramic views of Kings Cross with lots of great seating and a further upstairs outdoor balcony with fantastic views of London. The sound system was great. Drinks were a bit pricey (but the event was free so I can't complain). I'd love to come back here if I got the chance!

The staff were super nice. Loved the atmosphere in the bar as well. The vibe in there is almost an intimidating level of cool — like you know you’ll never be as cool as any of these people, but they make you feel really cool for being there. It’s the feeling when someone attractive is really nice to you so you feel more attractive as a result. That’s exactly what happens in here. Five star experience (except the fact they mistook my white goodfellas bamboo lounge t-shirt for a towel and took it away, the staff says they are looking for it and can get it back to me if found)

We stayed here for one night as we were going to see a gig and would have missed our last train home. I booked a windowless room and didn't know what to expect from this hotel. But WOW! We were so impressed. Every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful. Check-in was very efficient. The hotel is really well designed and the room was impressive. Spotlessly clean, nothing missing, everything you need... We went up to the bar in the evening to get the incredible views (and the drinks were excellent too!). The location is so convenient. We will be staying here again.

I am a frequent visitor at Central London and this is my first time staying at The Standard. Honestly, I am surprised to see 5 star reviews for this hotel. Location of the hotel is no doubt perfect given its proximity to Kings Cross Station and convenience of places nearby. Restaurant , book lounge are also amazing and very welcoming staff at reception, but that’s it! I am staying at Queen of queens room, yeah fancy name but nothing more than that. it’s a room with queen bed and work area. Layout is extremely weird. Toilet is by the entrance but does not have wash basin next to it. You have to walk around the bathroom to get to wash basin Carpet and head rest of the bed have a built up smell of dirt and humidity. Dark colors in the room make the room extremely unpleasant especially when u need a warm space after tiring long day There are random loud noises middle of the night of doors and things around Also, although this is a Hyatt property, it is not fully integrated into their systems. So, you do not get any Hyatt loyalist benefits, including night stay credit
