a sensory feast, blending history and modernity
within the opulent confines of our Babylonian
Palace, providing an intimate and exclusive
experience.
Enter a space that’s show-worthy, spanning three
captivating levels adorned with painstakingly
detailed hand-carved bronze work and opulent
dark woods that vividly narrate the tales of
Babylon and the epic of Gilgamesh. Lush
greenery is woven into the fabric of the venue,
bringing to life the inspirational exotic nature of
the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Your journey
begins in this opulent realm, where luxury
becomes an integral part of your surroundings.

Experience the drama of a full venue takeover with
our unique setting spread across three distinct areas. In
our sumptuous dining spaces, intimate booths blend
seamlessly with walls adorned in hand-carved wood and
glistening bronze. Every detail is carefully crafted, from
textured walls to soft, warm lighting, sumptuous velvets,
tarnished metals, mirrored surfaces, and exquisite Gold
Chinoiserie. An exclusive full venue takeover is across all
three distinct areas of Gilgamesh, including the ground
floor Restaurant.

I booked a table for me and my two adult daughters. We were a little early so waited for a table to be cleaned (no issue, our fault for being early, so didn’t mind the short wait). We were seated and given menus. Great! Orders drinks after a bit of a wait and then waited a further 25 minutes to receive them! It was very busy, which is to be expected for a Saturday, but I did think this was a bit of an excessive time to receive our drinks. Food arrived and the burgers were indeed very tasty but they weren’t exactly hot. I presume they’d been sat for a while before we received them. Not the best, when you’re paying £20 for a burger and frozen fries. A lot of the staff looked particularly stressed and miserable. I understand they were busy, but in a customer service role, it would have been nice to see a few smiles about! Our waiter - Tyrone was absolutely lovely and very cheery, so a big thank you to him for making our dining experience much better. Would I go back again? No. Not at those prices for ‘warm’ food, a freezing seat and a long wait for drinks. Plenty of places in Liverpool to choose and we all agreed that this wouldn’t be a place where we would return. Overpriced, substandard and I’m usually very easily pleased!

Table was dirty when we arrived. Waited ages for our food and then was told that they didn't have what I ordered and could I choose something else! Daughter ordered a diet coke which was supposed to have unlimited refills. Ordered a refill while eating our food and it didn't arrive for over 20 minutes, by which time we had finished eating and my daughter no longer wanted it. Food was ok when it eventually arrived but would have expected more for the price. Hadn't been to a TGI's in years. Won't be going back in a hurry.
