January 2025One of the few places you can go to a matinee other pints and not be scowled at by the parents.

October 2024I've been coming here for years and can't believe I've never written a review. The Castle Cinema is such a refreshingly cosy gem. Its decor is on point, Toasties are great, and it has great prices for drinks and cinema tickets. It's also a great place to find out about non mainstream films coming out, as well as a quiet and relaxing place to enjoy bigger movies outside of big cinema chains. The membership is definitely worth it as well. £6 Mondays are divine.

December 2024Really cosy venue with a great story behind it. Love the lack of ads so so much, and the Monday discount is great value. The armchairs in screen 1 are very comfy, and the picture quality is good. The only thing I'd mention is I felt the sound quality wasn't up to par. The system has that great bass boom that major cinemas have, but it was really quite tinny around the mids/highs, which was especially noticeable during the songs of Better Man (a musical). Other than that, a very charming cinema that I'll definitely be visiting again.
