February 2025The Foundling Museum is a nice place to visit, but it is smaller than I expected. There’s a lot of focus on the founders, and I would have liked to see more about the children and their experiences. The ticket price feels a bit high for the size of the museum, but since it supports a good cause, it’s worth visiting at least once. A nice bonus is that the ticket is valid for a whole year, which makes it a better deal if you plan to return.

January 2025The ground floor was the only floor that had interesting information about how the foundlings actually lived. There was information about the token system, their daily timetables, what they would typically wear, and shared lived experiences. I was more keen on learning about this than the lives of rich aristocrats and founders to be honest as the rest of the floors were a bit disappointing. And considering the price, one would think there would be more to see. If the price was lower, I would think it’s worthwhile.

February 2025We were welcomed by the volunteer on reception and informed that two rooms in building was of particular interest. Short introductionary information on how the foundling charity started.First floor displays of journals and a video with past adopted children telling their stories . The other floors displayed works of art, small sculptures and craft work There was a children's craft workshop taking place in the basement!!! Very disappointed lacking focus on the foundling , more on the building/ art
