London Museum Docklands traces the 2000 year history of London’s river, port and people, from the arrival of the Romans to the rise of Canary Wharf. It is located over five floors within a unique late Georgian warehouse and is Canary Wharf’s only Grade-I listed venue. The museum offers outstanding settings for meetings and events.

The exclusive Docklands Boardroom is situated on the first floor of the museum with beautiful views of the Canary Wharf skyline. This room is ideal for smaller dinners for up to 20 people. Its peaceful location makes it a charming choice for more intimate events.

Such a baby/children friendly place. We thoroughly enjoy their “Visit the Victorian Santa” event. Staff were lovely and they made space for us, even though we were 1h late. They have tons of space to leave the pram, tons of high chairs a soft play (which needs prior booking) and a lovely museum throughout the history of Docklands. Easy fantastic place!

I really enjoyed the museum. There was a lot to see and I was in there for at least an hour. The entrance fee is free, but I would encourage donations. The museum is also fun for young children with lots of activities to keep them occupied. I would definitely recommend a visit.

London Museum Docklands is a fantastic place to visit! The museum is child-friendly, with plenty of interactive exhibits and events—we visited on a Saturday, and there was a special event happening. Entry is free, and it was great to see so many families and kids enjoying themselves. The museum is well-organised across multiple levels, with clear directions and maps to guide you. The galleries are fascinating, offering a deep dive into the rich history of the Docklands and London in general. There’s also a nice café on the ground floor for a break. Highly recommend for history lovers and families alike!

A brilliant museum offering insights into the trade history of the River Thames, which is inextricably linked to the transatlantic slave trade and migration histories during that era up until the post-WWII era. It also displays the rapid (and rather contentious) development of Docklands and Canary Wharf as London’s main business district. I loved how they provide thematic spots for both adults and children to discover throughout the museum. I spent 2.5–3 hours by myself, which is a reasonable amount of time to digest the accompanying captions (though I didn’t read them all - some of the captions are quite packed with text, and it would probably take two separate visits to actually finish them).

Excellent museum and well worth a visit. There is a lot to read and I came away much better informed as to how London's Docklands helped Britain's development over the centuries. A thought provoking section on Slavery ; I should have liked more emphasis on Britain's leading role in the 19th Century against the slave trade but otherwise a very informative visit and I will certainly go again
