On a side street between Harrods and the Victoria & Albert museum, Patara Knightsbridge is a compact outpost of an 11-strong mini-chain that has six London restaurants, as well as branches across Europe and Asia. It sticks closely to the successful Patara blueprint: serving Thai cuisine, gently tweaked for international palates, in a modern setting that’s accented by the traditional motifs of the national architecture. Its single main space is offered for exclusive use. Meetings can run smoothly there, before groups enjoy dishes such as rock lobster medallions sautéed with green curry sauce, fresh peppercorns and sweet basil sauce. Set menus cover banqueting, vegetarian and ‘ocean’ options.

November 2024Dining at Patara Knightsbridge is an absolute delight for anyone who craves authentic Thai cuisine with a touch of elegance. From the moment you step inside, the warm hospitality sets the tone for a memorable experience. The cozy yet refined atmosphere, coupled with attentive service, makes you feel instantly at ease. 🍽️ The Food: • Duck Spring Rolls: Crispy, golden perfection! These rolls are served fresh and hot, releasing a mouthwatering aroma that prepares you for the flavorful bite. The accompanying sauce strikes the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. • Green Curry with Prawns: This dish is a star! The curry is rich, creamy, and generously packed with prawns. Paired with the fragrant jasmine rice, it’s a comforting bowl of authentic Thai goodness. • Pad Thai with Chicken: A classic done right! The noodles are perfectly cooked and coated in a flavorful tamarind sauce, with fresh herbs and citrusy notes enhancing every bite. 🍺 Drinks: Complement your meal with a refreshing Singha beer or the Chang, both of which pair beautifully with the bold flavors of the dishes. 💷 Value: While it leans on the pricier side (approx. £73 for two with drinks and service), the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the overall experience make it worth the splurge. ⭐ Overall: Patara delivers a fantastic combination of authentic Thai flavors, elegant presentation, and excellent service. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or just exploring, this spot will not disappoint. Highly recommend reserving a table in advance for a seamless experience!

February 2025Aside from a slight hiccup with our table being ready, we had.a wonderful meal with beautiful fresh Thai flavours that were tempered to non spicy without losing flavour. From what we sampled, this is a fabulous example of Thai cuisine. I don’t associate Thai food with cocktails but when we return next, and we definitely will, we will start with a cocktail or two.

March 2025Best Thai food I’ve had in London! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and every single dish has been absolutely delicious—nothing was even average. The flavors are authentic, the quality is consistently amazing, and I keep coming back for more. Highly recommend! Yum yum yum!
