RCP North launched in October 2017, and marks the start of a long-term plan to provide better services to RCP members and fellows outside London. During Phase 1, the RCP in Liverpool is based on two floors of the William Henry Duncan Building, owned by Liverpool University, and situated on the university campus.
The William Henry Duncan Building has space suitable for meetings, workshops and office space. It is also being used to host MRCP(UK) PACES clinical examinations and Faculty of Physician Associate OSCEs. It is also home to the RCP’s regional office for Mersey and the North West.
RCP North has been established to respond to the desire for more education and research in northern England, Scotland, north Wales and Northern Ireland, and upholds the RCP’s strategic vision to benefit its members, fellows and partners in its commitment to improve patient care in the UK and internationally.
Phase 2 will see the RCP move to a brand-new building called The Spine, taking its name from a striking staircase on its north elevation that resembles human vertebrae. Scheduled for completion in late 2020, this permanent home for RCP North will be designed as an iconic new feature of Liverpool’s skyline. Occupying 70,000 square feet, its ergonomic architecture will be designed by AHR, who won a competition in partnership with Liverpool City Council and construction company Morgan Sindall.
One of our smaller meeting rooms which can be used as a breakout room, for small meetings, workshops or training.
This room has its own access from the back end of the corridor, and is also adoining to the Leeds room.
