Beautiful classic Parisan style two floor bistro and bar situated very close to Liverpool's historic docklands and commercial district.
Ma Boyle's neighbours include St Nicholas church and has hosted events such as launch parties, office parties, birthdays, weddings, funerals and leaving parties. Our Rum & Rumour Kaberet Bar holds 50-60 people and our ground floor bar can hold a further 120. Our outside drinking space backs onto the beatuful church gardens and Liverpool's cruise liner terminal. Very good transport links, close to local rail and bus links. 5 min walk from Liverpool One.
The Rum and Rumour Kabaret Bar at Ma Boyle's has become very popular for smaller wedding parties. Although a relatively small space, further areas within the venue can be used as an overspill area including the church gardens next door. Buffet style food or trays of canapes has worked well for catering within this space and the venue.

March 2025Popped in today for a Sunday roast. Going to go out a whim and say this is the home of (probably) the best Yorkshire pud in Liverpool! Great value for money as the portion size was certainly not something skimped on at Ma Boyles, and the roast beef was perfectly tender! The service was fantastic, the member of staff serving us was very attentive and friendly. The meals we ordered came almost immediately. All of this, and great tunes to eat to. Importantly not too loud to put strain on your mealtime conversation. Will certainly be coming back again in the near future to try one of the other Sunday options, and recommend anyone else to do so too, but book early to avoid missing out on your choice of meat! TLDR; good value for money Sunday roast tucked away in Liverpool city centre.

February 2025We reserved a table but arrived early and they were able to give us a table. I wasn't sure on arrival whether I would like this place but thanks to the friendly service and great food along with a good atmosphere (it was pretty busy even at 5pm) my hesitation was unnecessary. This was our first taste the 'scouse' stew and it was delicious!

February 2025If you thought Ma Boyle’s was a spit-and-sawdust kind of place, think again. This is a quality pub with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. The waitress went out of her way to help us, making sure everything was just right. The vibe is relaxed, and the clientele is a fascinating mix—from WAGs to musicians, all enjoying the great atmosphere. They also host jazz nights, which adds something a little different to the usual city centre pub experience. Plenty of tables available, plus a downstairs area if you want a more tucked-away spot. No parking (as expected in the city centre), but it’s well worth the visit. The food looked fantastic too.
