Discover Hawksmoor Liverpool, nestled in the iconic Grade II-listed India Buildings, just steps from Castle Street, at the corner of Brunswick Street and Fenwick Street. This stunning venue features a 165-cover restaurant, a 30-cover bar, and an 18-cover private dining space, all inspired by the grand optimism of the roaring twenties. The restaurant celebrates this legacy by showcasing original fittings and antique finds from the era, such as reclaimed street lamps from 1920s Paris, now transformed into glamorous brass-trimmed ceiling lights.
Hawksmoor Liverpool offers semi-private options for parties of up to 80 guests, making it ideal for various events. With canapé and bowl food menus, we are the perfect for casual gatherings in our bar area, private dining room, and restaurant.
The restaurant is available for full hire events, which can accommodate up to 140 seated in the dining room and a bar suitable for pre and post drinks.
Hawksmoor Liverpool’s private dining room – The New Yorker Room – seats up to 18 people around one large table, and is situated just off the main entrance. It celebrates links between Liverpool and New York, including one of the building’s architects, Herbert Rowse, amongst other famous Liverpudlians who crossed the pond and made New York their home.
The New Yorker Room features specially designed sharing menus that showcase classic Hawksmoor dishes, including our famous dictionary-thick steaks. Meals are served family-style, with steaks cooked to order and presented in cast-iron skillets, accompanied by our legendary sides and sauces. For dessert, enjoy large sharing puddings to complete your feast.

January 2025Never disappointed at this restaurant. Excellent streaks cooked exactly as you like it. Other non beef options also available and very good sides and starters. Good range of drinks with and without alcohol served. Some Gluten Free options and some dishes modified to suit Coeliacs. Vegetarians and Vegans should avoid.

January 2025Had the Sunday roast for the first time and it was excellent. Without a doubt the best gravy I’ve had. My wife went for the big Mat burger which was delicious .The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing in the restaurant and our server was very professional and looked after us well.

March 2025this is actually quite good. the waitor serves really well and keeps the pace good. no rush at all so you can enjoy the meal easily. we like the salad and the fish and also the toffee desserts. would definitely come again 😄

March 2025My wife and I celebrated 35 years together and I decided to book Hawksmoor for our special dinner. I emailed requesting a nice table and advised that another couple would be joining us. I received a courteous and prompt response from Wiktoria advising that she had noted our anniversary and would do her best to ensure a special dinner. We arrived at Hawksmoor and were very warmly greeted just inside the entrance where our coats were taken and we were subsequently escorted to our table. Another couple that were joining us were already seated and had drinks in hand. The table was superb. A wonderful private area that allowed conversation to flow nicely. I stuck with Hawksmoor IPA s I had considered enough champagne earlier in the day... The beer was crisp, light and tasty which went well with my dinner which consisted of a half lobster to start and a rib-eye (med, 350g) as a main. All the food was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly as requested. The service was outstanding. We had multiple staff serving us at various times throughout the dinner. Every single one was courteous, professional and proficient. The entire experience was very memorable. I was so taken by the experience that I was prompted to speak with the manager (Benedetta) to pass along my positive opinions regarding the meal and service. Overall a very special dinner and we will certainly be back again.
