A vast wilderness, yet, only an hour from London. Based on an island Elmley feels a world away from the city. With huge skies, miles of wilderness and incredible wildlife all around, you can completely disconnect and immerse in nature.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Elmley’s wildlife is of international importance and our priority is to restore and regenerate the nature in this special estate in the South-East of England. This philosophy runs through everything we do, from how we farm to how we generate our electricity and how we engage with and support our local community Elmley is a family run business, with a long standing and experienced team. We have all been captured by Elmley and are constantly inspired by how special a setting it is. We love to welcome groups to Elmley and help them make the most of their time in this unique estate.
Elmley’s range of beautiful spaces provide an ideal backdrop for your business needs, from brand events, conferences, and meetings, to training and away days. January 2025I've stayed here only once (it was great), but I've been here on day visits many many times. Truly a place to get away from it all, whilst observing owls, kestrels, marsh harrier, lap wings and much more besides. A treasure of a place. Become a friend of Elmley - fantastic value that encourages you to regularly leave the distractions of modern life behind and reconnect with nature.

December 2024We stayed in a shepherds hut for the night. The hut was cosy and was lovely to stay in. The service of the staff was excellent. Even though there were strong winds and rain, they still delivered our dinner and breakfast. The experience had a very homely and personal touch. Would stay again!

October 2024The place is nice, and sometimes great things to see. But..after driving for a few hours you won't have much time there as it close far too early. Even when sun still is quite high they close . That means not much chance to see the owls. For that you have to book a minimum 2 nights stay which is not cheap. Especially after paying petrol and more to get there. A previous visit there several short eared Owls came out few minutes before closing time. And all who were not booked in had to leave. After that we decided not to go back. But today we were there again. On 20 minutes before closing we were asked to leave. Driving along the road to the gate, a Bittern were all out in the open. We stopped shortly, but a serious person chased us off, not giving any chance. Most other places have a automatic gate to let people out, or close at decent times. So this leave a bad taste. Not everyone can afford to book a stay
