Had afternoon tea. We were early but the staff were so helpful and accommodated us with no issue. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and a good choice of teas and coffees. Good value for money.

Nice hotel, good service, good breakfast and perfect location in the High Street. Just parking was a problem, not the hotel's fault as it was clear there was no parking, but it does make it more difficult. However, we would return.

Location could not be better. Bar and restaurant were very nice. Bed was very comfortable, good black out curtains and extra glazing to minimise any noise from the high street location. Breakfast was nicely presented and was very tasty. Downsides - bathroom was outdated and in need of renovation, service at breakfast was very slow and difficult to get attention, this appeared to be due to lack of sufficient staff rather than efforts of the staff on duty. Overall a lovely hotel and I would go stay there again

Good location and breakfast service is very good. however the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. Rooms are quite tired and noisy. With no double glazing. Pillows very thin, no soap in the bathrooms and the reception doesn’t seem to be staffed adequately. It is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but I would suggest it is a good 3 star only, and at nearly £250 per night, was not value for money
