The Riverside Museum, Scotland’s Museum of Transport and Travel is the new home for Glasgow’s world-class Transport and Technology Collection.
The Zaha Hadid-designed building is a masterpiece of architecture, a perfect complement to the stunning and exciting displays within. January 2025It is a wonderful place to spend a few hours wandering about. A great insight into history, with an exhibition of vehicles including bikes, motorcycles, cars, trams, and steam engines. Recent addition of a carriage from Glasgow subway. Lots of signage to explain each exhibit. On-site cafe. Probably, best of all is the free entry to this must-see museum. Parking is available, but it is also easily accessible using public transport with Partick underground and train station nearby.

March 2025It's really interesting and fascinating to see everything they have got in this museum. Being free is definitely a huge advantage and great if you ever want to come multiple times. Right now, there are a couple star wars exhibits that may be temporary. Only downside is the museum is slightly chaotic they should try to regroup everything a little better.

March 2025Free. Wonderful place to visit for all ages. Loads of different types of transport. Well set out. With a gift shop. Has a cafe but didn't try it. Places to sit and eat your own pack lunch too.
