Mulberry House is a hidden gem nestled within the beautiful Essex countryside village of High Ongar, ideally situated just 40 minutes from central London.

Easily accessible - 10 minute drive from Epping train station (central line) / 19 minute drive from Chelmsford station, which can be easily reached from London Liverpool St station /

There are 24 Boutique bedrooms onsite both available in the original Georgian House or in the courtyard rooms, set within the beautiful grounds. Along with the convenience of accommodating free parking for up to 150 vehicles onsite.

Let us take care of everything for you by providing all of the food, beverages, equipment and entertainment – allowing you and your team to relax and enjoy the occasion.

We require 25% deposit upon the point of booking with the remaining balance due two weeks prior to your event date.

The Cedar suite is a room within our Mulberry Suite. It is on the ground floor and has direct access to a private cloakroom and outside lawn area. The room has built in equipment, air conditioning and flooded with natural daylight. It is a great space for meetings, dinners and is also licensed for wedding ceremonies. This room has beautiful vaulted high ceilings, exposed beams with a showpiece, central chandelier.

We had our wedding at Mulberry House in October this year, everything from start to finish was amazing. The venue is stunning, the food was incredible, but it is the people that really make Mulberry House so special. The whole team could not be more accommodating, from helping to plan the running of the day in the lead up, to setting up basically everything in the morning and then supporting us with anything we needed on the day. We couldn’t have had a better experience, and all their efforts allowed us to relax, be in the moment and enjoy our special day. Special thanks to Claire, Jo, Chloe and Georgia for all their help.

29.12.24 - what a day! We cannot thank the team at Mulberry house enough for all they did to make our wedding so special. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the day ran seamless. Special shout out to Jo, Claire (who came in especially to make sure our day ran smoothly while battling a bad cold) Harley who was the best waiter and looked after us all night and Sammy who made sure our evening reception went off without a hitch! The food, decorations, vibe of the whole day was amazing from start to finish and we are so so grateful and happy we chose Mulberry House as our wedding venue! We truly felt part of the mulberry house family and will be back in 2025 to enjoy some more events Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.. love Mr and Mrs Kelly xx

We rented the house for Christmas 2024, it is a wonderful house in a beautiful location, the grounds are very scenic with Alpacas and ducks. We had a wonderful time in what was really a home from home. Thanks to Richard and his team for arranging everything and setting the place up for a wonderful Christmas.

Had afternoon tea at this destination so can't comment on the rooms. Food was delicious and a lot of it. Only complaint was they gave one jug of milk, one bowl of cream and one of strawberry jam and it had to keep being moved from one end to another. Could have had one at either end of the table to be more convenient for us.
