We stayed at this adult spa hotel over Valentine’s weekend. Overall, it was a nice experience, but there are some areas that could be improved. While the hotel has its charm, some of the policies were a bit too strict and not particularly guest-friendly. On the flip side, certain aspects of the service were lovely. Given it was Valentine’s Day, I was surprised that there wasn’t any entertainment provided. It would have been nice to have something special for the occasion to enhance the atmosphere. Additionally, the spa was extremely crowded, which took away from the relaxation a bit. However, the massage I had with Lisa made up for everything! She only works on weekends, but she’s absolutely top-notch. One of the best massages I’ve ever had—Lisa was professional, skilled, and made the experience truly memorable. Thanks to her, I’m giving 5 stars. If you visit, definitely book a therapy session with Lisa. She’s incredible!

38 weeks pregnant and the spa was so over filled there were absolutely no places to sit. Got told reception was 24 hours, we had the LOUDEST neighbours, after speaking with them and asking them to be quiet and them carrying on - we called reception and went to go down multiple occasions and no one was there. Eventually they were quite around 1:30am. Extremely disappointed and ruined our stay of being relaxed. They didn’t seem to care when we told them the following morning. Their customer service was awful. Everything was stupidly overpriced, especially their lunch menu. Room was FAR too hot. Took 2 hours to get some extra pillows. Wouldn’t recommend, won’t be back.

It's okay but nowhere near as many spa options as somewhere like aqua springs. There's a large pool, a jacuzzi, 2 small steam rooms and a small sauna and that's it. The food is very hit and miss - I had the pork with gratin beans and gooseberry ketchup and it was incredible, definitely one of the best dishes I've eaten in a while. However, my partner had the langoustine risotto and it was very average and under seasoned. The pricing is high for somewhere that isn't consistently fantastic across the board. Because of the price, I wouldn't have even considered eating here if we hadn't had a gift voucher.

I had a spa day here on Monday. I paid £214 always wanted to go. I was very disappointed, I was cold and had to get dressed out of robe. Sauna was not working no warning or apology for this. My massage was not a good experience the lady who was doing my massage had an awful cold. She had a mask on and could not breathe properly. Her nose was running and she had to keep stop and wiping her nose without washing her hands after. I felt so sorry for her. She could hardly breathe. After my massage I thought I would use the relaxation room however at this time there was a group on and I was unable to do this. Again, there was no warning or explanation about this. If I had been told, I would’ve used the relaxation room at a different time. However, by this time it was time for me to go home. I did message and let the Lighthouse know my disappointment however I have not heard anything back sadly. Very disappointed.

I was reluctant to write this review, I sent an email once we checked out to express my concerns and discomfort. However, nobody bothered to reply to me, which is very disappointing. Positives Very nice clean room, comfortable bed Lovely grounds Food was good quality Wave massage bed is relaxing and a new experience to me, I haven't seen it in other places. Sauna and steam rooms are very good. Clean pool area with fresh towels. Negatives The massage I had was absolutely awful, the worst I have ever had, I do have quite regular massages but have never experienced something like this. The massage therapist did a different massage to I booked. He did deep tissue, not a relaxing hot stone massage with medium pressure as I filled out on the form prior. He saw I was uncomfortable, and I confirmed the pressure was too much, but he continued. He used stones that were far too hot, and I flinched on more than one occasion. I really should have just left, but I felt too uncomfortable to leave and just left waited until it ended. It also felt very rushed, I have seen others comment this too. At the end of the massage, he then told me, "I know it was painful, but you have knots in your back," so it was very clear he knew what he was doing and continued. At this point, I felt completely violated and just wanted to go home. After spending £600 for relaxing stay, I went home feeling stressed and quite upset. I was also in a considerable amount of pain. My partner also had a hot stone massage but said it was relaxing. However, it was a very rushed feeling as well. We asked before our meal what was included, they said it was 3 courses, however at the end she said it was actually 2, she charged us for the more expensive starter rather than charging for the dessert. I felt this was unfair, as we were not informed properly at the beginning of the meal when we purposely asked to avoid this. Ice cold corridor to get to our room, not comfortable in a bathrobe.
