DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel has been covered in scaffolding and has created a nuisance in the area for nearly 5 years. You'll be supporting a company who has been negligent with its UNESCO World Hertiage surroundings and believe me when I tell you you'll have zero view from your room and every single time you enter or exit your hotel you'll have to deal with the crush of pedestrians that this construction monstrosity has brought to the area.

Total eyesore that ruins George IV and the old town. Also, basically zero transparency or information available as to why it’s been under construction for so long. The beige block is under 20 years old, crazy that it needs such extensive maintenance. At least the 1960s Lothian Council Offices that preceded it were cool
