December 2024Very accommodating. Good food at the hotel restaurant. Rooms were nice and clean. Within walking distance of several other dining options. The front desk folks are very accommodating if you have a question. I’d stay here again if I was in the area.

December 2024Very friendly, comfortable and warm hotel, yet it is very modern with good facilities. Nice and clean, good room service and helpful smiling staff. Good selection of food on their menu for most tastes. The best thing for me was their big thick soft fluffy towels and the big soft duvet!! The views are the best you can have anywhere in Eastbourne of the sea, from Hastings in the east to the downs in the west. Try it, you are sure to want to come back again Sam

March 2025The View is an outstanding example of a premium seaside hotel. The rooms are reasonably sized and nicely decorated, with all the amenities you could need. The interior & exterior of the hotel generally is very well maintained by the exceptionally friendly staff. With a wide range of self-served breakfast options including full English and continental, breakfast is a great experience. The door closer in our room may have been broken, as the door slammed. The air con in the room also sometimes made rattling noises but these are very minor inconveniences in an overall outstanding hotel.

March 2025Came here for a wedding, and they did a great job of providing almost everything we needed. Nice balcony to go on to for fresh air when the dance floor got too hot. The area was perfect, and the table lay out great. The bar staff were amazing and friendly and even had conversations, unlike other places I have been to. The Guiness was out and probably the only fault. On the whole I would highly recommend this venue. Oh, and yes, the view of the sea is beautiful and even more so first thing in the morning when it's peaceful.

February 2025We stopped off for breakfast, having high hopes because of the reviews, and the photos look lovely, but were turned away. The Receptionist was most unwelcoming, didn't look up until we asked her about breakfast, then told us it only had 10 minutes to go so we could not go in. Other hotels let you come in to start breakfast as long as it is before the end time so we didn't understand that. We asked if we could have something in their cafe instead, and she was clearly very pleased to tell us that it didn't open for half an hour. Very cold. Not recommended.
