Stayed overnight 4/12/24. Didn't expect too much as we paid £75 for the room including breakfast. It was easy to find, parking was right outside the hotel and was only £10 for the whole stay. Staff were chatty, accommodating and friendly, room was spacious and immaculately clean and facilities were excellent, including unlimited free hot drinks. It was a 5 minute walk into the centre of Chester. For the price I was expecting a meagre continental breakfast but to my surprise the unlimited breakfast was really good. Cereals, fruit, toast, full English, pastries. We couldn't fault it at all. I was really amazed at the quality of the accommodation, facilities and food given the price. It wasn't luxury but it was excellent service and value.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay, attracted by the location and included breakfast. We were allowed early access to the room 👍which had a great view over the racecourse. The cleanliness was exceptional, which was appreciated. It was a very easy walk to the walls and into the city, which we discovered to be compact, clean, and most enjoyable. The breakfast was particularly good and better than expected. The hot food was superb, and the sausages deserve a special mention. Apparently, the racecourse 'own' and run the hotel and won't allow any frozen foods. Result! A local butcher supplies, and it was VERY good alround. We were there midweek, and getting a table was no problem. I suspect that weekends may be hectic. The adjacent car park is very convenient. Be aware that it's £10pn to park there until 2pm on departure day

Staff were great and professional and friendly. Location is convenient short walk into the rows with adjacent parking The rooms are showing their age a bit. Breakfast was mostly what you would expect from a holiday inn Express. The coffee was terrible. Maybe the machine was having an off week. If I end up back here, I'll try a different hotel

Service was good, polite and spoke very clear. Rooms are dated with allot of ware and tare. Cleaning could be better e.g. the phone had clearly not been cleaned. Have to pay £10 for parking, doesn't state this on the website. No restaurants close by, you have a 10 minute walk into the centre or car ride. Breakfast was good, nice selection of food. Overall good stay, but wouldn't return.

Newly introduced car park fee, now £10 but not advised on website or conformation email. When we got to our room at 8pm the main large window was open in the middle of winter, and room was freezing and felt damp, and did not really warm up all night. Plastic trim on top of window missing, which let in cold and noise. No tea bags only coffee for a drink to warm up either. Lumpy Pillows and very poor soundproofing on window, it would of been quieter in a tent on the A483. You could hear every car passing by.
