BOB ROBINSON
We stayed for three nights, 9th May 24, the reception staff were really lovely, the room we had overlooked the racecourse. The buffet breakfast was really exceptional, a far cry from other "Budget hotels". It was very easy to walk into the centre for exploring, easy walking to the bus and train stations, so, park the car up and leave it!!

Third time stayed here but beware - £10 per night parking has just been introduced and payable when you arrive (previously free). Rooms are ok but very hot in summer (wonky fan didn't help) and noisy next to a busy road, and don't expect enough milk sachets or any biscuits, but hey the key cards are now made of wood not plastic. Help yourself breakfast can be chaotically busy, not helped by a toaster that takes forever to say hello to the bread without actually toasting it. Location is good, but the new car park tax means it is no longer a cheapish option.
