Excellent stay here in early September. Fantastic location with good bus route into Chester. We stayed for 3 days and all was perfect. Food great and staff lovely. 👍🏻👍🏻

We’ve booked a room to stay over due to the work Christmas party. They have given us a spacious clean twin room. It was far away from the Christmas party music therefore very quiet and we were able to sleep very well. Buffet breakfast next day was lovely as well which they have hot and continental sections. Overall it was a lovely stay.

A beautiful looking hotel from the outside in a lovely location. We stayed here overnight using a gift voucher for Overnight Stay with Dinner. On booking and another call to confirm I was told dinner was not included only breakfast. An Email was sent to the gift company because we considered them to be at fault. Thanks to Samantha at the hotel and Jeremy at the gift company this was resolved. We were upgraded to a superior room as a gesture. On arrival there were two receptionists, one lovely and helpful, but afraid the other rather abrupt. When I asked what room we were in she jabbed her finger at the key fob and said "it's on there". Not a good attitude at all. Our superior room was a disappointment, apart from the bathroom which was really lovely. The room was dark and drab and the door to the garden had black mould everywhere. However it was comfortable enough for one night. At dinner the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful and very well cooked. However we did not know until we asked that there was a limit for each person. Not a problem but lack of communication again. On checking out there was still some confusion about the voucher. We were told it now also included breakfast as well as dinner. This had not been made clear on check in, we were happy to just have dinner and overnight stay as per the voucher. We decided not to take advantage and settle for what had been paid for. However we were told again that the hotel would be leaving the scheme at the end of the year due to the confusion with vouchers. Jeremy at the gift company said there had been a miscommunication and misunderstanding when initially booking. I would like to make it clear this was not on our part. The two receptionists I spoke to were absolutely adamant our voucher could only include breakfast and not dinner and on checking out it was obvious that the vouchers are causing a lot of confusion. Staff need to be made aware of what exactly is happening with the scheme so everyone knows what is included and what isn't included. Overall our stay was fine thanks to Samantha sorting out the original problem, the one lady on reception and the waitresses in the restaurants.
