March 2025Great value, can easily spend a couple of hours in the first visitors centre, before moving on to the others. Then there is the Lovell Telescope itself, which is mesmerising even when not moving. The outside educational equipment is also good fun. The cafes are good value with quality products. If the weather is decent, then a wander around the Arboretum is highly recommended.

April 2025book system is a bit confused however it’s still a good place to go with my kids. Car park is free, we bring our own lunch. My 12 years old son says the kids meal inside nearly 5 pounds is not enough for him. Staff is very friendly. Only give us the tickets at the first time which means second time even the it’s annual tickets we can’t not go to some activities I don’t know it’s always like this or just us. Anyway it’s a good place to go.

February 2025What a truly fascinating place for a few hours visit! The buzz upon driving in was replicated inside with such welcoming and friendly staff, excellent informative interactive exhibitions, lots of grounds to walk around and a very well priced with delicious food and drink in the cafe. However, the star of the show is undoubtedly the Telescope walk, taking you around the impressive and very large Lovell Telescope, which we were lucky enough to see move! If you're a fan of Space, bucketlist to come here. Tickets well priced too!

April 2025We had a great day. Loads of free parking but we did go during the week. You can just park and go to the cafe if time is short. We bought our tickets there and you can use them for a whole year so we can visit again without charge. There are loads of interactive displays which were fun and plenty of information for the more serious minded. We went to the short free film show and it was amazing...a trip to the stars and planets. Lunch in the cafe which was a little pricey but very nice although our coffees were lukewarm. The actual telescope is massive and remarkable and we walked round it in the sunshine. There was another exhibition of photographs of stars, planets etc which was enjoyable. Helpful and friendly staff too All in all we had a brilliant day and would certainly recommend a visit.

April 2025We went as two adults and there was still plenty for us to look at. Lots more for children to do. Seeing the telescope is amazing close up. The whole of the site is well maintained with plenty of areas to sit. The cost of the entry fee gives you chance to return as much as you want within the year. The onsite cafes are the typical prices you’d expect to pay at places like this, but had a nice choice with the option to sit inside or outdoors.
