March 2025I must say that the staff at the hotel are amazing. The bar combination of Mark and Emily is great. They are very pleasant and accommodating. In the morning I was served very well by Mark, a different Mark, over seen by Karen......both couldn't have helped more at breakfast. Indeed Mark brought my final treat of breakfast in bed. Thank you guys for a great time

March 2025It's a fantastic hotel. The room was really clean. The bathroom was imaculate. We had a top floor room which was fantastic. The views over Cardiff were amazing. The hotel was only about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Cardiff. The breakfast was amazing, as much as you could eat. The parking was a bit hit and miss, it was first come, first served, on the first night we had to park in John Lewis car park opposite which was £30 a night but the hotel car park was £25 per night not much difference. All in all, it's very good. We definitely stay there again.

February 2025Quite a basic twin room, 2 single beds, no pictures on the walls and whose only lights were the bedside and reading lights. Looked a little bit tired but had large TV and toiletries. Nice and warm and quiet considering it was right next to the train station. I suppose what more do you need. Very powerful shower, however only issue was it was fixed at an angle facing directly at you which you couldn’t move but did the job. The breakfast however I could not fault it was fantastic, full English selection with lovely sausages, Greek yogurt fruit, continental, wide choice of juices and the best Welsh cakes 👌 do not miss it!! Very friendly reception staff and a perfect location for all the shops, bars and restaurants. Overall, great value for money hotel.

March 2025I have been to hundreds of 5* hotels, and this by far is the worst! We were greeted nicely by the receptionist who handed us the keys and “2 small bottles of water”. We assumed it was because we looked parched. We went to the room that overlooks the train tracks (mind you we were on the 17th floor and could still hear the trains passing), and there were no water bottles, no complimentary snacks, and the table lamp was faulty! We went downstairs to the bar for a quick sandwich. To our surprise, the staff looked shocked to see us standing and took them a while to ask if we needed help! One came and rudely asked what we’re doing here, and we said “can I order a sandwich?”! She didn’t reply and left abruptly in a very unprofessional manner. Another member of staff approached us and was nicer who took our order. For a simple sandwich, you’d expect it to be done within 10-15 minutes. It took them nearly 30 minutes to have it out, boxed, and their excuse was that they were preparing the bar for the rugby match the following day! What an excuse! Honestly, really disappointed!
