Minstrel Court, Orangery

I DO NOT RECCOMEND GETTING MARRIED AT THIS VENUE!!!! Myself and my partner got married at this venue in April 2025. The venue itself is beautiful, but that's the only good thing about Minstrel court. The owners, management, organisation and communication is completely awful. They made the whole process of planning a wedding so stressful and difficult. We had to hire an external wedding coordinator as we have no faith in the Minstrel Court team to make our day run smoothly. On our actual wedding day, there was dog poo on the grounds and dogs (not from our wedding party) freely running about which the Minstrel Court team had a lot of difficulty controlling. The dogs had been in the lake and were trapsing muddy paws about and we had to cautiously avoid them to stop them jumping up my wife's white dress! Regarding the accomodation at Minstrel court, its massively overpriced. We were given 3 different costings for the accomodation during our wedding planning. We ended up staying at Clopton Courtyard which is a 5 minute drive from Minstrel Court. It is a far bigger and nicer venue and we were able to stay there for 2 nights for less than 1 night at Minstrel court. We 'won' a competition through Bespoke Weddings to get married at Minstrel Court. But after hidden costs are applied, and taking the stress and horrendous management from Minstrel court in to consideration, you'd be far better planning your wedding at a different venue. This review only includes some of the issues we had with Minstrel Court, if the review was to include all the problems, it would be a hell of a lot longer.
