Visited a couple of times already. Lovely sensory garden. Everything is interesting and the Engine Trail and Transport Trail kept the little one engaged. We will definitely visit again.

This is the old science museum which was free. It is set out over 4 floors. Very good for supporting education. All ages will find something they enjoy. There is a planeterum which is an extra cost of £3.50.

Expensive, old, dingy and dull. A lot of the touchscreen activity displays didn't work. The Planetarium was dated and boring, I almost fell asleep at one stage. No staff walking around to ask questions to. Not much in the giftshop. The whole collection of activity sheets weren't available, which meant my daughter couldn't fill in all the sheets and collect the stamps... I've been to better free museums. Needs an update and refreshing. The positives would be the MiniBrum section is great fun for small children. Lots of unguarded coat stands to leave your coat at the entrance of the museum. I left mine there and it was nice to see nobody had stolen it as I went back to collect it at the end of the day. A large number of tables and chairs set up for people to eat their packed lunches by the entrance. The tipping water feature looked fun and was nice and loud. Lots of excited children. The Science Garden was good fun for small children. Students can visit for free on Wednesdays!!! I'd go again, but it's too expensive as it is, atm. I'd strongly recommend you buy tickets for the Planetarium in advance.
