March 2025Fantastic nostalgic night of playing some retro arcade games from my childhood. Each machine takes 2 tokens, £10 for 20 tokens. Plenty of pricey drinks and cocktails to choose from. Overall a great night for a friend's birthday.

April 2025One of our favourite places in Digbeth! Some really great arcade machines and fab cocktails as well as retro consoles to play. Also love that laser quest downstairs has its own cocktail menu

February 2025okay, great place: i went to play maimai, someone i knew said they had a cabinet at this location and i was of age to enter as my 18th birthday was yesterday from the time of posting this review. loved it, will potentially see a future visit out of me, staff were stellar, but one bitsy problem, please make the maimai cab louder or the music quieter, i have something that affects my sensory processing and it would help with accessibility a little, but anyhow, awesome. even though i am of age, i did not come for drinks, i do not drink at all for personal reasons, i just play games.

April 2025Machines maintained poorly, pinball machines didn't work properly and about 1/3 of games swallowed tokens without use. Bar staff was mixed - young black girl actually started making drinks based on overhearing a personal conversation, not an actual order ( what if I'd decided differently), drinks made incorrectly. young white girl - nice, upbeat, considerate about explaining how the bar worked. However, game selection was good, overall environment was decent, and the drinks (made correctly) / games that ran correctly were fun. Mixed review overall - mid experience on a slow night, wouldn't want to come when it is busier

April 2025TL;DR – Long-time loyal customer and sober designated driver refused entry after bouncers wrongly claimed my disabled brother (with a prosthetic leg) was "too drunk" due to his walk. Absolutely appalling experience. 100% Avoid. I’ve deleted my previous glowing 5-star review because the respect I had for this venue has been completely shattered. As a frequent visitor who has spent countless evenings here and recommended it to many friends and colleagues, what happened on the night of the Bloodywood gig at the Digbeth Institute was not just disappointing—it was disgraceful. My brother, who is disabled and wears a prosthetic leg, was refused entry by two bouncers—one of whom gave the name "Bubba"—because they believed he was too intoxicated. He wasn't. His gait, understandably, reflects his condition. I was the sober designated driver, so I witnessed everything with full clarity. Despite calmly explaining the situation, the staff dismissed us without a second thought and told us to "find somewhere else." Ironically, we went to Subside nearby, and they treated us with the respect and basic decency you'd expect. This wasn’t just poor judgment—it was ignorant, ableist, and handled with zero accountability. The venue I once praised has clearly declined. A quick glance at other reviews reveals we’re not alone in having issues with the door staff. This place used to have heart, but now it feels cold, careless, and arrogant. It’s deeply upsetting to be treated like this after years of loyalty. To the management: you've lost regulars who genuinely cared about this place- ill be making sure I personally inform as many people as I can. If you want to rectify this, I'd like to see a formal apology from your door staff members to my brother or just to see them relieved of their position so that the opportunity can go to the correct door staff who treat others with the empathy and respect they deserve. This is not a bar on Broadstreet...
