If buildings could speak, Bisham Abbey would have a fascinating story to tell. The 800 year old Abbey was once a home for the English nobility and aristocracy and is now part of one of Sport England’s National Sports Centres used as a prestigious training venue for over 20 different sports and organisations including the English Institute of Sport, England Hockey, Living Tennis and the England Football and Rugby Associations. The Abbey is also available for private hire for functions, corporate events, conferences and weddings.
Both The Elizabethan and Vansittart rooms are ideal for larger meetings or small conferences, both the Elizabethan and the Vansittart Rooms are equipped with the latest technology – including interactive whiteboard, designed to help you create, deliver and annotate your presentation with the latest infrared technology, along with a Bluetooth interactive writing tablet, projector and 78” powerboard.

December 2024Visited with a day pass (no membership required). Really excellent gym split into 2 areas - weights and more traditional gym (also with weights and machines). Everything was well maintained and clean and staff are helpful and friendly.

January 2025Stayed for business meeting held in the Abbey. Bottom line don't book a business meeting in the Winter or Autumn at this establishment as the conference rooms are ice cold even with the heating on. Bedrooms are sparse and cold and in desperate need of a refurb. The canteen offers very poor evening meal choice i.e. 1 item...yes one, so don't bother eating there in the evening.....simply don't bother staying overnight. Oh, the breakfast is like warm....

March 2025Went to the cafe for a bacon roll and decaf skinny cappuccino. Probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life! The barista (and I use the term lightly) was clueless!
