December 2024If you have young kids and think hotels like this are a bit too serious, think again. At least this one is surprisingly welcoming to young families. From the moment we walked in Craig was welcoming and quickly sorted a family room for us, kindly giving us a very good rate, which was a surprise because we hadn't booked ahead and didn't have a membership. The room was almost ideal - generosly spacious, huge shower, and the decor and layout was smart and sensible. About five minutes after we arrived a complementary smoothie, fruit, milk, and cookie tray arrived, with more than enough for everyone, and it was actually nice. We arrived a bit late for breakfast which was included and the restaurant manager made sure we had everything we wanted before they started preparing for lunch. The kids loved the stay and it's definitely a highlight for the family. We look forward to staying with Marriott in future. Thanks Craig and Marriott for taking care of us and being family friendly.

January 2025I had a good stay at the hotel for my anniversary. The reception staff, Zac and David, were very welcoming and attentive, and checked me in quite quickly! The tribute night was fun, and the service provided by Perry was exceptionally good.

December 2024Conveniently located. There are some nice restaurant options all within 10-15 driving distance. The property is well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you are in the Oxford for business or leisure this is something to consider. The thing I’m not very impressed by is the onsite restaurant. The continental breakfast has very limited choices. And the quality isn’t that great unfortunately. :(

February 2025There was no hot water in the dead of winter and the hotel staff did not seem bothered at all or apologetic as they simply said “the boiler turned off”. I understand accidents can happen but the service attitude was absolutely unacceptable. There was also a “clean” towel all folded up only to be clearly used and brown when I opened it. It is also in an inconvenient spot right by the highway. Hotel shower area seemed a bit dirty with hair by the drain and no fridge where the cupboard clearly made space for a fridge. Chair in the room is slightly ripped. Clearly not a 4 star hotel at all.
