The Rougemont Hotel boasts a fantastic selection of 11 function rooms for your celebrations. With a licence to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships, the hotel can play host to your whole day of celebrations.
The largest room, the Devonshire Suite, can accommodate up to 250 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 250 for an evening reception. The space has its own extensive bar, making it the perfect setting for a grand event.
Alternatively, the elegant Cavendish Ballroom can seat up to 120 for a formal wedding breakfast. The Ballroom boasts exquisite, high sculptured ceilings which create a majestic atmosphere. The room also has its own private bar and dance floor. For smaller ceremonies, the charming Derby Suite is full of charm and character.
Throughout your plans and preparations, your dedicated wedding planner will be on hand to help every step of the way. We appreciate that you may be planning your big day to a strict budget so, from drinks and dining to accommodation and entertainment, your wedding planner can put everything together for a fixed, affordable price.
We also have 98 beautifully refurbished rooms available for your overnight guests to book during your wedding.

    Visited for a wedding last weekend and the hotel and staff were all amazing! Lovely rooms, well upkept and clean. Will and Molly on the bar were fabulous and the F&B Supervisor, Jake overseeing the ceremony was so attentive and on top of everything. Thank you all for making it such a lovely experience for the guests and the wedding party!

    Fabulous venue with even more fabulous staff! We booked this venue for a business stay along with delivering training for 3 days. From the moment you walk into Reception, you are greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. The rooms were spacious and clean which is always a plus when staying away from home. Within our package we ordered lunch along with tea & coffee for breaks. My colleague who is gluten intolerant was taken care for daily and even sourced gluten free cakes for her. Jake and his team went above and beyond to look after the team - for this I am extremely thankful for. The hotel is in a great location close to shops and restaurants and even facing the train station making the location super convenient. Overall amazing experience and a fabulous team working. Massive thank you again for looking after us. I look forward to returning whether on business of personal.

    We attended the hotel for a special 70th birthday for my mum, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. They made us all feel so welcome and special with particular attention to the birthday girl. Such a fantastic experience and we really do have a lot of special requirements (Gluten free, veg, dairy etc.) nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make everything perfect even making things that were not usually available and providing special extras all adding to the experience. All the staff encountered were professional, incredibly friendly and accommodating. After a lead up to the day discussing requirements on the phone my husband even asked if I knew one of the staff from somewhere as we had sounded so happy chatting and arranging everything, that's just how it made us feel :) The hotel was beautifully decorated for christmas, lovely and spacious, clean and classy. Perfect on site parking and for a hotel in the centre of the city, you really need that element. Location was perfect, I as well as all our party said that we couldn't recommend this hotel enough, thank you *****

    We used this hotel for a works Christmas party. All I can say is if you are booked to use this venue cancel asap. Limited expensive drinks is the start of where it’s a complete rip off. Food my 11 year old would still be hungry after finishing. Starter was ok. Main course was beef one slice. Three roast potato pieces. Half a carrot halved again. Five sprouts and four over cooked parsnips. The chocolate cheesecake was tasteless. Mainly the staff were very good apart from the manager. Who seemed to want to ruin each parties evening. Shouting at young girls in front of the rest of the venue making some of them cry. Then having them removed mid meal to then let them back in later on. One of our group was refused a drink due to him having to much. This was due to the person in question joking he had too much to drink ( if asked most of our group would say the same). The person was not slurring his words or unsteady on his feet or aggressive. Even the door staff said the manager is often out of order in the way he acts. Leaving them to carry out his requests to remove people when they argue with him. Avoid attending a function here if you want to let your hair down.
