Wonderful building steeped in history (which you can read about from a provided booklet in your room). Staff were fab and the atmosphere was calming. We arrived where a wedding conference was on which seemed very professionally managed. Food and drink is a bit pricey though.

The Elvetham Hotel is a truly wonderful wedding venue, and as a wedding photographer, it’s always a delight to work here. The venue exudes charm and elegance, with its stunning grounds providing the perfect backdrop for both family photos and romantic wedding portraits. Every corner offers something unique and beautiful to capture. The staff are absolutely fantastic—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Their dedication ensures the day runs seamlessly, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere for everyone. A special mention has to go to the toastmaster, whose enthusiasm and expertise really add to the magic of the day. They bring an extra layer of fun and organisation, ensuring everything flows smoothly while keeping the energy high for the couple and their guests. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines breathtaking surroundings, excellent service, and an unforgettable experience, The Elvetham Hotel is a brilliant choice. It’s always a pleasure to photograph weddings here!

Nice country house in Hampshire and good value for money as it’s one of the more economical options in the UK. The history is pretty cool but it’s definitely not four star by any measure (rooms, amenities or service). Fairly isolated so a car is a must as there is not much to do at the hotel and little on offer nearby. Having dined at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, the food was okay at best. Service was friendly but staff were all super young and not well informed of the menu which doesn’t seem to change.

This is a hotel that we check in at about 8-12 times a year. I wanted to spend a nice day with my newly engaged wife. There was a very rude person at the reception (I think her name was Jo). I told her that we had a suite reservation, she gave me a room numbered 105. After asking if this was a suite (I knew it wasn't because I had stayed there before) she said no it wasn't a suite, the only suite I had was a hole in the ceiling. When I told her that I wouldn't be staying here, that the reservation was for a suite and that we paid for a suite, (and we didn’t inform about this situation in advance) she gave me an extremely disrespectful answer saying "the price you paid is discounted, it's perfect for this room too". I took advantage of the early booking opportunity and got a suite. She told me that I had to wait for the reception manager, when the manager came, she assigned us to the suite without any problems and we were able to sleep in the suite. Check your room type and number and be prepared for a rude welcome. This is not the old Elvetham. Most of the staff has changed. I won't be going again, that's for sure. They lost a good customer.
