May 2017It's a simple, functional hotel and does that very well. The location is fantastic for the west end of the Excel, felt like less than 10 minutes from the hotel as you're directly opposite and the walkway is 100m away (as will the dlr stop be when it opens late 2017) The reasonable size room has a bed (mattress is a little hard) and a bathroom, TV and plenty of sockets, what you'd expect from a budget hotel. The breakfast is not bad but not brilliant, not going to pass it up but would be disappointed if I'd paid for it. Only massive issue was the fire alarm that kept going off between 6 and 6.30 one morning, good thing I was up already!
