10th November Alice Hubble started the nights entertainment with a very polished opening set . A phenomenal show by blancmange. What a performance he had the crowd hooked from beginning to end. New venue for me walking down a black tunnel to get in the venue was a bit odd ,poor lighting and a step down which you couldn't see .The room itself was good,a decent size although the stage lighting was hit and miss for the support act .Sound was very good. The bar is card only which makes it easier . Emili Sande was amazing ,her version of the Pulps common people was very good ,the crowd loved her set which was exceptional, she was backed by a very talented band which enhanced her performance. As an add on plenty of street parking

Zero seating anywhere, cashless bars only, beer predictably 4x the price you pay in the off licence. Staff were ok though, helped a disabled lady get to to see the gig via the goods elevator round the back. Gig went on a little too long for my old back - kinda wish VNV had played the Institute instead. Must remember to bring a stool type walking stick next time like my friend Ceri did.
