The Bonham is a boutique hotel in Scotland with a very contemporary spirit. It occupies a series of Victorian buildings in the West End of Edinburgh, whose soaring natural proportions have allowed us to create a truly dynamic set of rooms and public spaces.
Newly refurbished in 2019, No. 35 at The Bonham offers a stylish and unique venue for your next event or private dinner.
The restaurant can be used exclusively for larger dinners of up to 60 guests or
the room can be split into 2 areas, offering space for 40 guests to dine with an adjoining bar area. Wonderful original panelling and glittering chandeliers provide the perfect backdrop for any event, large or small.
A unique feature of No. 35 is the stunning view out to Dean Parish Church and the very stylish fabric wall panels that have been installed - these ensure that your meetings and events get the most from our peaceful location.

February 2025Oh my, where to begin... location was elegant and very quiet, but only a few minutes walk to the busy shops. The overall hotels decor was plush and refined. Everything was exceptionally clean. There is the most comfortable and friendly atmosphere permeating the whole ethos of the hotel. The staff were helpful, friendly, kind and patient. They were quiet and unobtrusive in the very smooth running of the hotel. The carpark is at the rear of the property and whilst it's a bit of a squeeze to get a large vehicle through the entrance, the spaces were of good size and easy to park in. It's very secure carpark with a barrier and buzz in entry. Our family of four had breakfast both mornings and the food was wonderful. Arrived hot and cooked perfectly. Wonderful flavours and ample for whatever your appetite required. The coffee was fabulous too! Dinner was just as good an experience as everything else! Superb advice for wine - such a smooth red! My steak was cooked perfectly for me. The flavour was just fantastic, and I can, hand on heart, say it was the best steak I have ever had. We spent the rest of the evening in the bar lounge, playing cards - a perfectly relaxing evening. Would go back in a heart beat. Thank you for a wonderful stay❤️

January 2025It was an amazing stay! They upgraded my room to a bigger one with a beautiful view for free. I really loved it! The receptionist, Thomas, was extremely kind and helpful, and all the staff were great and supportive. I will definitely visit again

December 2024My husband and I came here on honeymoon and we had an absolutely wonderful time! All of the staff were friendly and helpful from those at the front desk to the cleaners who kindly let us back int he room when we had both forgotten our key card. One of the staff at the front desk was particularly knowledgeable about the hotel's history, which helped to bring the experience to life. We booked so that we had breakfast included and both enjoyed the wide selection with cooked breakfasts (the Full Scottish and eggs benedict were both particularly delicious) and continental options. The room itself was beautiful and well equipped with coffee machine, teas, and snack selection all included. The bed was comfortable and it was always nice to come back in every day after breakfast to the room freshened and clean with new towels. Overall, we were both very pleased with the service and amenities provided. The hotel itself is only a short walk from Prince's Street with bus stops even closer. A beautiful boutique hotel!

December 2024We had an amazing experience at the Bonham. The staff is very nice, the art collection in the hotel is impressive and it is ideally located in the center of Edinburgh. Our room was very comfortable and functional. It is probably one of the most authentic hotels in the city and if you want to fully immerse yourself in a very chic and cozy Scottish atmosphere then this hotel is for you. Cocktails are delicious and my only regret is that we were never able to have dinner at the restaurant (they don’t keep tables for the clients of the hotel and you have to book in advance). Also LGBT+ friendly.

December 2024Staff were amazing. Food was delicious. Bar was great. Location is great you can walk to everything The rooms are cozy and have some fantastic rooms with everything you could possibly need. The only downside I would say is the bed was not super comfortable. It was very hard. But would recommend if you want to treat yourself to a nice stay.
