February 2025Had a fantastic sunday roast here, and we opted for the 3 dish set menu which is really reasonably priced. The roast itself was one of the best I’ve had in the area. I’m still dreaming of the carrots! My only qualm was that a bunch of the starters and side dishes were sold out already at our 3pm sitting, so book an earlier slot if you don’t want to be disappointed on that front.

January 2025Great pub and a local institution! The staff are friendly but I feel the food is not as good as it used to be. Limited vegan options and the one dish I could order was not great. My wife's prawn dish was way too spicy even though we said to leave out the chillies. I hope it will get better again as it used to be amazing for eating in.
