Woods' Silver Fleet, Silver Sturgeon

The Silver Sturgeon is Woods’ Silver Fleet’s largest and most versatile venue. A 21st century, luxury river yacht with capacity for up to 550 guests. Designed by leading British architects, including lighting designer Sally Storey and flooring by Missoni. The Silver Sturgeon is a sight to behold with a main deck that includes a central bar and elegantly sculptured staircase, it host large events, receptions or theatre style conferencing.

Our flagship vessel, the Silver Sturgeon, is the largest in the Woods’ Silver Fleet venue collection. Elegantly styled in luxurious and neutral tones, the Silver Sturgeon is a contemporary and sleek river yacht, with the capacity to accommodate up to 550 guests for a stylish cocktail reception, or 440 for an impressive seated lunch or dinner.

The Silver Sturgeon offers great flexibility, as the Ensign Room at the stern of the vessel and its smaller back deck are ideal for welcome receptions and breakout space, alongside the River Room at the front, the largest internal space, perfect for larger meetings, receptions and dinners. Stairs lead up from both rooms to the open top deck, where guests can take in the impressive views as they cruise along the Thames.

The benefit of ample outside space makes the Silver Sturgeon the perfect choice for summer events, with BBQs available on the back deck and summer cocktails served from any of the three onboard bars. During the winter months, the impressive illuminated river light installation along central London’s river bridges creates the most beautiful backdrop for events aboard.

As a sailing vessel, the Silver Sturgeon can access many of the central London pier locations, picking your guests up and dropping them back off at a location convenient to you. Typically, the Silver Sturgeon sails between the Houses of Parliament and the 02, guaranteeing the most impressive backdrop of riverside landmarks as you cruise, including Big Ben, the London Eye, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf. There is also the option to keep the Silver Sturgeon alongside a chosen pier for longer periods of time.

The Silver Sturgeon is available to hire on a minimum event spend basis, varying between £15,000-£45,000 depending on time of the year/day of the week. We are proud to offer our own in house catering, and our costs will include our Charter fee, food and beverage costs, equipment hire charges, staffing costs and pier charges.
