POLPO is a bàcaro. This is a Venetian word to describe a humble restaurant serving simple food and good, young Italian wines. We offer tasty small plates, Prosecco and Spritz in a setting that reflects the gloriously faded elegance of Venice and the of charms of its backstreet wine bars.
All of our restaurants are available for private hire for sit down meals or drinks parties. We can celebrate all occasions!

December 2024Lovely Italian restaurant with delicious natural wines. You have to get the chickpea balls and tiramisu. Our sever Irini was so lovely, looking forward to dining here again soon.

October 2024Appalling food. We ordered the aranchini of N'duija, it was not good. The zucchini fries which were surprisingly good, the beef shin rigatoni and clam, chili tagliolini which had nothing to it. Bland and boring. Chicken Saltimbocca, annoyed at myself that we didn't send it back. N'duija aranchini which is such an easy starter/canapé. Awful. Cocktails we all had a sour, which should be served with an egg white foam. They were not. The experience was disappointing. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return.
