March 2025Little Channels is a friendly, affordable nine hole course, well kept and maybe a little harder than one might think given that there are no water hazards. There is a lovely bar cum/diner for an after round drink which serves great food and the staff are all lovely. The staff at the driving range, golf pros etc are equally accommodating and the driving range has the latest computerised bays if you want them. There’s a putting green and a chipping area complete with practice bunker. I have found playing 9 holes here is perfect for me for several reasons, a, my knees don’t feel the strain so much b, you can have 9 holes a cup of coffee and still be home in 2 1/2 - 3 hrs and c, the monthly fees in comparison to an 18 hole course are really affordable. The members here all seem really nice too. I would recommend.

January 2025Easy to get to, only a short lane off the main road but once there you are in a pretty countryside location, with no traffic noise & plenty of parking. Looks to be a set of converted farm properties very nicely & sympathetically done. Stayed 1 night at "Holly" apartment. Positives • Really nice double room (clean, good furnishings & decor, bedding, shower facilities, & quiet) • Large TV in unobtrusive position • Great breakfast - serve yourself buffet style, high quality bacon & sausages, comfortable dining area Improvements • Shower drain slow at taking waste water away, consequently whole of bathroom floor wet after showering • Only one USB charging point (in the side of the dressing table mirror), could do with some at bedside, so bring an adapter (guess I could have asked for one, dunno)
